Will You Be Waiting For Me?

Was God tired of
Watching Their child suffer?
Did They call you
Home gracefully?
Did your body decide
It was more drained
Than your palms,
Raised in praise?
Was there nothing left
To be thankful for?
Was the only thing
You could pray for
An end to the pain?
Did God walk you home
Peacefully,
Or did you fight valiantly
Against evil, to end up
Exhausted at heaven’s gate?
Did God feel overcome
By Their remorse
That they forgave
Your final choice?
