What You Need to Know About the January 5th ‘War Council’ Meeting

What are we talking about?

On the eve before the insurrection at the United States capitol, key players in Trump’s team met in secret. Roughly 15 high ranking officials and allies to the former President met at Trump’s private residence in the Trump International Hotel located in Washington D.C. on January 5th, 2021.

Despite many social media posts throughout the evening by key players, many attendees are now walking back their participation in the January 5th meeting. While the social media posts gave us real-time insight into who may have been in attendance at said meeting, it remains unclear if President Trump attended or even participated in the meeting itself. Several members of his family and trusted officials were at the meeting, including his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
