Spring

A Poem

Spring

This world has grown
Far too warm
For our icicles
To remain beautiful.
All that’s left
Is to see if they fall
Only to be shattered
On the slick asphalt,
Or slowly slip
Down tree branches,
Dragging out
Inevitable defeat.
