Run Away

A Poem

There are countless days
When I wish I could
Pack up my heart
And run away,
Leave my body behind.
I want to ride the rails
Of the universe’s light trails,
Escape into the unknown
Rather than be stuck
In this immobile rut.

I want to find my soul
Rather than lose it.
