Part 3: The Appalling

By now you probably know that ‘Ungodly’ is broken up into 4 parts. A quick overview of those parts:

⁃ The Fallen
⁃ The Healing
⁃ The Appalling
⁃ The Godly

The Appalling is the third part of the collection. This is also the most triggering chapter of the book. None of this Patreon is graphic but I did want to say that this chapter deals with sexual assault, addiction, and loss among other difficult topics.

This was the chapter that was both hardest and easiest to write. The content was difficult to face, but the words themselves flowed out quickly and freely, much like tears.

I gained closure on a lot, but any survivor knows there is closure in chapters but never stories. Each of these stories intertwines together and makes a complex history.

I don’t have much else to say about this chapter, but I will leave you with this (tame) poem.

Gotten a knack
