A little reminder this Pride month: trans and non-binary people have Endometriosis!

We are not included in statistics. We face more barriers to diagnosis and care. We face extra battles with insurance companies to cover excision surgery, as if it wasn’t already an exhausting fight. We are constantly forgotten and misgendered. A lot of us also battle gender dysphoria along with extreme dysmenorrhea — a really trigger combination.

We matter. Include us in your research. Include us in all statistics. Include us in your paperwork (my surgeon for example both asks my pronouns in my intake paperwork and respects those pronouns).

Please stop saying “Endo sisters!” or starting all your endo posts “hey ladies!”

Follow trans and non-binary endo warriors and donate to us. Some Instagrams to follow include @cori5mith @trans_endo_chronicles @jamila_main and myself! Show your trans and non-binary friendos they matter.

This Isn’t The End

The very act of
Surviving
In a world that does
Nothing but reject you
Is an act of
Revolution.
Be proud of a body
That bares the burden
Of being buried
Only to bloom.

Today’s poem is from my upcoming collection UNGODLY. If you enjoy my poetry, please consider shopping any of my poetry collections or other merchandise!
